Spinach-Pasta Toss

Servings 6

What You Need
 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
 2 cups multi-grain penne pasta, uncooked (gluten free)
 1 cup water
 1 pkg. (9 oz.) baby spinach leaves
 1 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Italian* Three Cheese Blend (optional)

Let's Make It
1. Bring tomatoes, pasta and water to boil in large saucepan; stir. Cover; simmer on medium-low heat 10 min. or just until pasta is tender.
2. Add half the spinach; simmer, covered, 2 min. or just until wilted. Stir. Repeat with remaining spinach.
3. Serve topped with cheese.

Kitchen Tips
Tip 1. For a spicier dish, add 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper or hot pepper sauce to uncooked pasta mixture in saucepan before cooking as directed.
 Tip 2. Substitute 7 cups tightly packed baby spinach leaves for the bagged spinach.
 Tip 3. Looking for a great side dish that can help you eat right? The spinach in this tasty side is not only rich in vitamin A but it also teams up with the tomatoes to provide vitamin C. In addition, the cheese is an excellent source of calcium.
